Shawn Phan is a 29 year old Arist & Photographer, specializing in creative arts photography. His style focuses on envisioning the best in every shot. His recent work consist of capturing moments from weddings, engagements, scenery , and working along side upcoming artists & models build their image/brand.
In 2007, Shawn Phan started posting video on YouTube displaying his talent for dancing and love for teaching. A simple, "I can probably do that" grew into a timelime of his evolving story. Within just a few years he was able to gain over 60,000 subscribers and a total of over 19,000,000 views. To him, YouTube wasn't about the view count or "getting famous. It was an outlet for him to share his work and express his ideas. It was a place where he could improve his craft and constantly receive critiques from the community.
In 2012, he started training as an apprentice under Eldrin Barajas, which is a well trained photographer and filmmaker that has been doing it for over 20 years. Within just a year he was able to travel to different cities taking on concert performances to even corporate event coverages. There he got a taste of what real pressure felt like, and he LOVED IT. Every event was a learning experience and a stepping stone to the artist he has become today. Shawn believes that he will be a student for the rest of his life. If he stops learning...he stops growing.
Photography was always something he loved before all of his creative passions. Growing up he always had dreams of making a huge impact through his work. He wanted to share what he sees through a lens of a camera and was willing to do anything to get the perfect shot. With each photoshoot he takes on he continues to provide great quality work and strives to bring out the best within himself and anyone he works with.
Shawn currently resides in his hometown Modesto, California and currently doing work in the central valley and surrounding areas.
